The Ottumwa Symphony Orchestra is looking for ‘Celebrity Chef’ participants for the Annual “25 Men Who Can Cook” event at Bridge View Center on August 3. Below are a few important details:

  • Each chef is asked to prepare 300 sample-size servings of their favorite recipe in one of the following categories:  a. Pre-Dining (soup/appetizer/salad/side-dish), b. Entree, or c. Dessert.
  • There is no cost to you other than the purchasing of ingredients for your dish. Many chefs partner with a sponsor to offset this cost.
  • Each chef will be allowed up to two assistants (guys or gals).
  • Outstanding “Hobby Chefs” will be selected in each of the food categories above, as well as “People’s Choice” – three Chefs awards will be recognized in each (1st, 2nd, and 3rd). Professional Chefs will compete for a People’s Choice award & Outstanding Dish award (again 1st, 2nd, and 3rd).

All profits from this event go to fund the presentation of concerts and youth concerts for the Ottumwa Symphony Orchestra organization. To sign up as a celebrity chef or for further details, please reach out by e-mail (alex.morley@edwardjones.com) or call Alex at (816) 519-1217.
