At what age did you begin playing your primary instrument?
Age 10
Do you have any favorite instructors or mentors who played a critical role in your development as a musician?
My first piano teacher was actually my mom, Sandra. She instilled a love for music in me and set me up with a solid foundation in musical knowledge that eventually led to me learning the other instruments I now play as well. She has continued to be my biggest mentor and supporter throughout my entire musical journey.
Did you attend college for your instrument? Do you continue to take lessons?
I did go to college for music, but it wasn't in violin specifically. I took lessons for a number of years while growing up and have since done my best to keep up with playing regularly.
If you could have dinner with any one person, living or not, who would it be and why?
Jodi Benson. The Little Mermaid was my favorite Disney movie growing up and she voiced Ariel. She seems like such a genuinely nice person and I'd love to get to know her better and learn more about her.
Do you have any hobbies or collections?
Music, of course. I also love baking, reading, puzzles, and crafting. I love to play games and have a regular D&D group that I'm part of.

Do you have any words of encouragement for someone who dreams of becoming a musician?
You can do hard things. Being a musician is not the easiest thing in the world; it definitely takes hard work and dedication. But at the same time, it is so worth the effort. If you're willing to put in the work and push yourself, you won't believe the things you're capable of.
